Frances Hunnicutt

Frances (Pat) McCall Hunnicutt, 87, of Brevard, NC died January 16, 2013 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Monroe MacDonald McCall and Floyd Thomas Hunnicutt, and two brothers; Ralph Patterson and Bill Owen.

Pat was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She graduated from Mission School of Nursing in Asheville, NC in 1946.  She began her career at Transylvania Community Hospital as a surgical and OB nurse.  She retired from Ecusta in 1980 as an occupational health nurse.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and caring for her community.

She is survived by two sons; Roger Ted McCall and his wife Nancy and Robert A. McCall and his wife Dianne, one daughter; Beverly Ann Harden, one brother; Harold Owen, two sisters; Alice Couvillon and Juda Kilpatrick, two sister-in laws; Betty Patterson and Betty Jo Owen, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Glady Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Ray Greene, Rev. Alan Thompson and Rev. Fred Gregs officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM, Saturday prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
