Frank Radford Bramlett ("Rad") age 72 died peacefully on January 30, 2018 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Rad is survived by his wife of 20 years Joyce Green Bramlett; four children -- Travis Bramlett of Waynesville,NC, Megan von Holt (Chris)of Roswell, GA, Kristie Reynolds (Bill)of Whittier, NC, and Brad Fulcher (Bobbie)of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren Connor Reynolds, Garreth Fulcher, Aubrey Fulcher, Layla von Holt, and Blake von Holt; one sister Jimmie Jean Arnett, of Brevard, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Sybil Bramlett, one son -- Jason Bramlett, and two sisters -- Hulene Brock and Betty Cox.
Rad was born on November 7, 1945 in Transylvania County to parents Hugh and Sybil Bramlett. He graduated from Brevard High School in 1964. Following high school he joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class. Following his service to our country, Rad was employed by Lockheed-Martin for a short time, then he began his 30 year career with United Parcel Service.
Rad was an avid fisherman, whether on a creek bank, on a pier, or on a boat, an honored member of the Wilson Boundary Bear Hunting Club, a proud father and papaw, an impressive story-teller, and an incessant jokester. Most importantly he was a true friend and blessing to everyone who ever crossed his path. He was loved and adored by friends and family, both far and near.
Funeral Services for Rad Bramlett will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with Rev. Tim Barker and Rev. Larry Wilson. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with the United States Air Force and Transylvania Honor Guard providing military graveside rites. The family will receive friends at a reception following the burial at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church.
