Fred Hogsed

Fred P. Hogsed, 86, of Dunn's Rock Community, Brevard died on November 27, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County and a member of Dunn's Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Hogsed was employed at Brittain Tractor Company for 40 years and made many friends there.
Mr. Hogsed was the son of the late William R. and Florida A. Hogsed.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Harold Hogsed and a sister, Helen Hogsed Brookshire.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Zelma Willingham Hogsed, two sisters, Betty Sanford and Nell Corn.

Also, surviving two sons, Donald Fred Hogsed and David Bryan Hogsed both of Brevard, two daughters Cathy Hogsed Harris of Brevard and Cindy Hogsed Kiser and husband Bill of Brevard.

Three grandsons, Aaron Hogsed and wife, Ericka of Brevard, Cain Hogsed of Nashville, TN, and Andrew Harris of New Orleans, LA.

Three granddaughters include Heather Hogsed of Asheville, NC Lauren Harris of Asheville, NV and Katie Lonic and husband, Brandon of Fayetteville, NC.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2014 n the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Dean West officiating. Burial will follow at Connestee Cemetery in Brevard. The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:00 PM prior to the service.
