Freda Osteen

Freda "Faye" Shelton Osteen, 70 years old, of Brevard, NC went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2014 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. Even though she will be missed, Heaven has gained another precious angel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Zollie and Edna Owen Shelton, siblings, Mable Wilson, Grady Shelton, Ted Shelton, Leon Shelton, J.D. Shelton, June Shelton and Veda Shelton.

She is survived by three daughters, Annette Elliot, Donna Durham, Jo Hollingsworth, all of Brevard, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Nell Norton of Lake Toxaway, NC, Madge York of Easley, SC and one brother Johnny Shelton of Hayesville, NC; and her life partner of 27 years, Spurgeon McCall.

The Osteen family will receive friends Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home. They will also receive friends Monday, January, 20, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Balsam Grove with the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Tommy Owen and Rev. Charles Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow at Mack McCall Cemetery.
