Friedrich Reidinger

Friedrich J. "Fritz" Reidinger, 90, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. Born in Steyrermuhl, Austria, he grew up in Linz, Austria. He first came to the United States as an exchange student to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and relocated permanently to this country to take a position as a research chemist with Olin Corporation. He worked his entire career with that company, retiring in 1986. He lived for most of the past 52 years in Brevard.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lilli V. Reidinger, sons Fred Reidinger (Gail Vance) of Brevard and Martin Reidinger (Patti) of Asheville, grandchildren Heather McCrory, Dr. Zoe Reidinger, Sarah Harris, Alex Boatright, Bailey Reidinger and Max Reidinger, and one great grandchild, Desmond Boatright. He was predeceased by his sister, Trude Wiesbauer of Linz, Austria. He was a bright and gentle soul who will be missed by all.

He was very grateful for the medical advances made in the treatment of diabetes that allowed him to live such a long and productive life.
