Jean Bieneman Parker

Brevard- Jean B. Parker "MiMi", 81, of Brevard died at home with her family Saturday, November 28, 2009.

Jean was a native of Philadelphia, PA and the daughter of the late John and Gladys Bieneman and the step-daughter of Nellie Bieneman. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Roy Bieneman. Jean was the loving wife of her late husband John Donald Parker as well as an outstanding mother and grandmother. She was retired from the Transylvania County payroll office and a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her one son John D. Parker, Jr. ; her one daughter Pamela Ann Banther and husband Ronald Curtis Banther; her two grandchildren Brett Ronald Banther and Brooke Leigh Banther, all of Lake Toxaway, NC; a special niece Suzanne Lyda and husband Jim of Middleburg, FL; and a special nephew Michael Gray and wife Angie of Matthews, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of those who lovingly cared for Jean during the length of her illness.
