Gladys Nelson Robinson

Lake Toxaway-Gladys Nelson Robinson, 83, of Lake Toxaway died peacefully at the home of her daughter with family by her side.

Gladys was a daughter of the late Floyd and Eula Nelson. She was a homemaker of her own home and had lived in Transylvania County for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Robinson, a son, Joseph Ray and two brothers, Nat and Claude Nelson.

She is survived by a son, Charles Robinson and wife Martha of Lake Toxaway, NC, two daughters, Robin Wilson and husband Larry of Lake Toxaway, NC, Mary Gaddy of Lake Toxaway, NC, one sister, Maude Singleton of Leicester, NC, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, Friday, April 29, 2011 with Rev. Devon Owen and Earl Gillespie officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mack McCall Cemetery.
