Grace Allison

Mrs. Grace M. Allison, 88, of 265 Calvert Rd. passed away December 19, 2013 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC. She was a lifelong resident of Transylvania Co. and a member of Selica United Methodist Church.
Grace was born February 10, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Beecher Madison Mull and Irie Whitmire Mull, both of Transylvania Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, E. Gerald Allison.
Grace is survived by one son, Beecher C. Allison, Sr. and wife Gail of Brevard, and a daughter, Rhonda A. Riddle and husband Robert of Brevard. In addition, she had 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren: Amy and Jonathan Edwards and children Caroline and Alan of Bristol, VA; Marsha and Mitchell Holleman and daughter Heather of Morganton, NC; Beecher C. Allison Jr., wife Shannon and son Beecher Gerald Allison of Charlotte, NC; and Allison and John Tinsley and children Shelby and Dillon of Brevard.
Grace's favorite pastime was looking out her windows to view the farm and cattle and talking about all of her family. She will truly be missed. Online condolences may be left at www.moore-fh.com for those who wish to do so.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, December 22, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home of Brevard. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, at 2:00 pm at Selica United Methodist Church, 623 Selica Rd., Brevard with burial to follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, 944 Hendersonville Hwy.
