Helen Kelly Frank

Pisgah Forest - Helen Kelly Frank, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at The Oaks of Brevard.

Mrs. Frank was born in Yonkers, New York to the late Genevieve E. and Matthew F. Kelly. She graduated from Larson College in New Haven, Connecticut and became active in life insurance sales for Union Mutual Life Insurance of Maine-now UNUM. In 1951 one of clients, William E. Frank, convinced her to retire from the insurance business and embark on their 58 years of marriage In addition to husband Bill, she is survived by her three children-Jeffery Frank of Los Angeles, Kimberly Howard of Hallandale, FL and Allyson Krowitz of Miami Beach, FL. Grandchildren are Heather McCarthy, Michael Frank and Nathan Krowitz.

Through the years Helen became a very active golfer, with many championships to her name.

In 1987 Helen and Bill retired and moved to Pisgah Forest where they resided in Glen Cannon and became active at Glen Cannon Country Club. She has been Woman's golf champ at Glen Cannon five times.

A Celebration of Mrs. Frank's life will be held on Friday, September 4 at 3:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, Brevard.

The family is extremely grateful to the Transylvania Regional Hospital and The Oaks of Brevard for the care they gave Helen during the final days of her illness.
