Helen Meece

Helen “Tibby” McCormick Meece, 99 ½, of Brevard, NC passed away of Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Helen was born in Buena Vista, Virginia on May 25, 1922, to the late Charles and Cora McCormick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edgar Meece and a daughter, Ann Wyatt.

Helen spent her days maintaining her beautiful expansive garden and enjoying sun and sweets on her porch.  In her younger years she enjoyed traveling to Europe and the countless road trips she traveled on with friends and family.  She will be loved and remembered in our hearts for years to come.

She is survived and remembered by her daughters, Judy Zachary (Mark) of Cashiers, N.C., and Nancy Neibaur (Tom) of Boone, N.C., five grandchildren, Sara Kate Zachary-Thompson, Danielle Neibaur, Melody Williamson, Dawn Dorador, and David Wyatt, four great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with Rev. Tony Moreau of St. Timothy United Methodist Church officiating.
