Pisgah Forest - Helen Cearley Woody, 89, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at The Oaks.

A native of Blairsville, GA, Mrs. Woody was the daughter of the late Gaylor Brite Cearley and Carrie Mae Jones Cearley and was the wife of the late Orville Woody. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Nelda Jane Woody and Cora Lee Shipley, sister, Lena Seabolt, and brothers, Rufus and G.B. Cearley.

Surviving are her daughters, Robbie Jean Smathers of Pisgah, Forest and Geri Felkel of Brevard; sister, Johnnie Patterson of Pecks Mill, WV; grandchildren, Rick Smathers, Melissa Morris, and Kyle Bumgarner; 3 great grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Pisgah Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating.
