Hugh Cole

Hugh W. Cole, 68 of Candler, passed away on February 19, 2008 at Mission Hospital. He was the son of the late Worth Baxter and Ozelle Robbins Cole.



Mr. Cole was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church where he enjoyed coaching softball. He was also the financial controller for American Enka and Akzo Nobel for over 35 years.



Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home, son, Gregory Scott Cole and his fiance Christy Taylor of Asheville, sister, Linda C. King and husband Ray of Carolina Beach and his loving dachshund "Tara".



The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 PM at West Asheville Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
