Inez West

Inez Poindexter West, 96, of Brevard, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Kingsbridge House. A native of Franklin, NC, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Robert L. Poindexter and Launa Barnard Poindexter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Chester West, four brothers; R.L. Poindexter, James Poindexter, Verlon Poindexter and Edwin Poindexter, four sisters; Elizabeth Swafford, Evelyn Swafford, Amelia Newsom and Ruth Holyfield Hornsby.

Mrs. West graduated from Franklin High School, Franklin, NC. After high school she moved to Brevard, NC and became a member of the English Chapel United Methodist Church. She went to work for Ecusta Paper Manufacturing and retired after 39 years of loyal service.
The family would like to thank those who helped care for Mrs. West at Transylvania Regional Hospital, Kingsbridge House and Care Partners Hospice.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, and a very special friend and caregiver, Jim Hamilton, of Brevard, NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at English Chapel United Methodist Church, Pisgah Forest with Rev. Lee Eakes officiating.

A reception will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall, of English Chapel, where the family will receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to English Chapel United Methodist Church. Post Office Box 1074, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
