Jack Ton

Brevard, North Carolina

Jack Ton, 84, of Brevard, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at The Elizabeth House, in Flat Rock, NC. Born in New Orleans, LA on March 24, 1932, he was the son of the late Irving and Gertrude Ton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Ton, and his daughter, Ilene Ton Batista.

A graduate of St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans, he also attended college at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, L.A. and served in the US Coast Guard. Jack lived in Louisiana until moving to Brevard with his family in 1972. He sold real estate all over Western NC, mainly in Connestee Falls and later in Sherwood Forest. Jack enjoyed reading, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with family & friends. His sense of humor and ability to tell a quick joke will be forever missed!

Jack is survived by his sister, MaryLee Lopez, of Mandeville, LA, granddaughters Lindsey Dixon, and husband Chad of Mebane, MaryLee Batista, and fiancé Michael Hatley, of Pittsboro, & great-grandchildren, Cecily and Crosby Dixon.

A Memorial Service for Jack Ton will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Brevard with Rev. Mike Holder officiating. The family will also receive visitors in the fellowship hall following the service. Memorial donations may be made to The Elizabeth House, 581 S Allen Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731
