Jack Whitmire

Jack "J.C." Whitmire, 75, of Rosman, NC passed away October 16, 2013 at his home in Rosman. He was born in Transylvania County, NC to the late Marion Coy and Bertie Love Whitmire. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joretta Whitmire.

Mr. Whitmire is survived by one son, Brian Whitmire and his wife Amanda of Rosman,; grandsons Matthew and Randall Whitmire of Rosman; brothers Charles Whitmire of Panama City, Florida and David Whitmire of Morganton, North Carolina; sisters Joyce McCall and husband Junior of Pisgah Forest, and Tinker Whitmire of Rosman; sister-in-law Shirley Green and husband J.L. of Rosman, special niece Patty Conley and her husband Jerome of Mills River and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Rev. Chester Chappell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
