James Orr Davis

James Orr Davis, 83, of Brevard, passed away on August 19, 2024. A native of Coventry, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Edison and Ann Fife Davis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Simone Stallworth.

He attained the rank of Captain while serving in the United States Marine Corps before going to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the Vietnam War. He earned his Bachelors Degree at Boston University.

He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed woodworking, but found great joy in his work around his church, First United Methodist in Brevard where he often made the first pot of coffee.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy W. Davis; their children: Stephanie Davis, Christine Gardner (Eric) and Paull Davis; grandson Daniel Davis; and his sister, Maryanne Baldwin.

A private family service will be held at the church.
