James Robert Lance, 85, of Rosman, NC passed away on Sunday, August, 31, 2014 at his home. He was a son of the late Fred Lance and Della Searcy Lance. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

He attended Rosman Church of God and he retired from Singer Corporation in Pickens, SC.
Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Imogene Lance, two daughters; Carolyn Flynn and husband Ken of Penrose, NC and Linda Cole and husband Robert of Hendersonville, NC, three sons; Carroll Lance and wife Cindy of Brevard, NC, James Thomas Lance and wife Tammy of Rosman, NC and Tommy Clayton, Sr. of Rosman, NC, two brothers; Earl "Chub" Lance of Little River, NC and James Harold Lance of Rosman, NC, one sister; Bonnie Popson of Little River, NC, eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Robert Lance will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Rosman Church of God with Rev. Mike Presley, Rev. Bil Bruner and Rev. Terry Whitesides officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday evening at the Rosman Church of God.
