James Tucker

James "Jimmy" Cheshire Tucker, 69, of Mills River, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at The Oaks in Brevard.

Jimmy was born on June 30, 1944, in Brevard, NC to the late Helen Carrier and Augustine W. Tucker.

Jimmy was educated in Brevard, attended A-B Tech and worked for Ecusta Corp. and for RCA before entering the automobile business. He rose through the sales ranks to the financing side and ultimately became a general manager of a large dealership in Charleston, SC. During this time he made many friends and memories.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Waldrop Tucker; their children, James C. Tucker Jr. of Anderson, SC, and Tiffany T. Sikorski of Mills River, NC, granddaughter; Alexandria Braniecki and grandson; Andrew Sikorski, two brothers; Gus Tucker of Brevard and Henry Tucker of Columbia, SC.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of The Oaks of Brevard for the compassionate care Jimmy was given during his time there.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends immediately following the service with a reception at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to one's charity of choice.
