James West

James Harold West, 79, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Dalphus A. and Mary Green West. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Norman West and Donald West, and his sisters Evey Van Dyke, Mozelle Holden, Ella Owen and Olorine Banks.

James had worked in Radar Tracking for Kirkland Company before going to work for Southern Detective Agency, Globe Security Company and Pinkerton National Detective Agency. He had also worked as a plumber in Charlotte and in Upstate South Carolina. He later worked as a plumbing supervisor in Connestee.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Carson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Church with Masonic Rites being given.
