Janet Masengill

Janet Carolyn Masengill, 88, of Brevard, NC died Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Tore’s home.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Masengill and a brother.

Janet was a member of First United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Bob, enjoyed traveling and traveled the world together. She taught Special Education and later in her career, 6th grade at Brevard Elementary School. She loved playing tennis and bridge.

She is survived by her husband, of 66 years, Bob Masengill of Brevard, NC, a son; Ken (Debby) Masengill, of Brevard, NC, a daughter; Renee (David) Lennard of Wilmington, NC, two granddaughters; Emily (Andrew) Ray of Anderson, SC, Mindy (David) VanDeWater of Anderson, SC, five great grandchildren; Wallace and Sadie Ray, James, Fischer and Emmalyn VanDeWater and daughter-in-law; Christi Masi.
