Janie Lynch

Janie Aiken Lynch, 95, of Brevard, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Oaks- Brevard.  She was the daughter of the late Allie V. and Ina Orr Aiken. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Arthur J. Lynch, and sisters Allie Belle Mackey, Inez Mooney, Frankie Reid and Marlene Aiken.

Janie was a member of Glade Creek Baptist Church, Pisgah Forest, where she loved attending worship services, Sunday school and anytime she had a chance to fellowship until she became unable.

She loved helping and meeting people by volunteering, and she did for 20 plus years at the Transylvania Community Hospital and several years at the Schenk Job Corps education center, and she worked several years at the Koala Adult Day Care in Brevard.  She loved working in her yard, pruning and planting. She loved staying busy when she was able.

She is survived by her sisters, Rose A. McKee, Cliffside Park, N.J., Gracie A. Rowe, Brevard, N.C., Margot A. Clark, Hatboro, Pa., and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest, with Rev. David Suber officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations.
