Jean Owen Davis



Pelzer, SC - Jean Owen Davis, 74, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.



A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Minnie

Galloway Owen. She was also preceded in death by a brother,  Donnie Owen and a special niece, Darla "Babe" Owen.



Surviving is her loving husband of 49 years,  Bill Davis; sister, Debbie Ayers; brothers, Tommy (Peanut), Ted, Eddie, Ronnie, Larry and Steve Owen; special boys, Julian Chaves and Matthew Mann, and special niece and nephew, Claude Owen and Mary Tannery.



A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1pm at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with The Revs. Tommy (Peanut) Owen and Ronnie Owen officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Claude Owen, Patrick Owen, David Owen, Bryan Owen, Shane Owen, Jason Tannery, Tyler Greer and Jordan Greer.



A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 11am at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1809 Fork Shoals Rd, Greenville, SC.



Memorial contributions may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
