Jeffrey Myron Abshire, 50, of Brevard, NC passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his residence.

He was a Transylvania County resident for many years and he was a son of Brenda Howard of Brevard, NC and Marvin Abshire of Brevard, NC.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one daughter; Krystal Abshire Norris and her husband Brian of Brevard, NC, one brother; Jackson Abshire of Virginia, four sisters; Hope Abshire of Brevard, NC, Julia A. O'Shields and her husband Gary of Rosman, NC, Jewell Wright and her husband John of Rosman, NC and Farabee Rackley of Altoona, FL, and his extended family Marshall and Rhonda Owen of Brevard, NC and five grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.
