Jerrold "Scott" Winter - Hendersonville

Jerrold "Scott" Winter, 57, of Hendersonville, NC, died June 17, 2009 at home. He was a native of Northern California. He was a son of Jerrold Winter of Loomis, CA and the late Jerry Jean Seawell Winter who died in 2005.

He was a graduate of California State University at Chico. After graduating, he taught mathematics and coached swimming at Roseville High School in Roseville, CA. An avid traveler, Scott visited every continent on earth and lived in Chicago, Florida, and for the last 10 years in his beloved North Carolina.


In addition to his father, he is survived by his beloved Cathleen Blanchard of the home, one brother; Dean Winter and wife Suzanne of Grass Valley, Ca, two nephews; Cory and Gavin Winter; one niece, Haley Winter.

Scott was known for his positive energy, his uplifting spirit, and his ability to encourage everyone he encountered. He was especially challenged to help people improve their health.

He had opportunities to help people at Laurel Park Fitness Center, Lelia Patterson, Elements Spa in Brevard, Tore's Homes, and many private homes.

A Celebration of Scott's life will be held at his home (125 Merri Acres Lane, Hendersonville) on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 4:00 PM.

Memorials made be made to the Aiden Easler Fund, 514 Tracy Grove Rd., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
