Jessie Thomas

Jessie Mae Owen Thomas, 70, of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Rufus and Ida Mae Fisher Owen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Bud Owen and David Owen and her sister, Elaine Sleeth and heart-felt son Danny Galloway.
A woman of strong character that was filled with compassion for anyone in need. She is greatly loved by her family and friends.

Her loving survivors include her devoted partner of 31 years, Gary Kitchen; her children Larry Bert Thomas (Cindy) of Rosman, Beth Chapman (Tom) of Brevard, Felecia McCall of Lake Toxaway and Adam Kitchen (Crystal) of Brevard; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
