Brevard-Jimmie Lou Kelley, 81, of Brevard passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Mission Campus. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brevard, NC where she taught children's Sunday school for many years. She was a daughter of the late A. J. Moon and Mary Jordan Moon. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Frances Clark and Evelyn Matthew.

Jimmie was a strong Christian woman and devoted her life to God, family and friends. She and Charles enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. She enjoyed her job at Brevard Jewelers before going to work at Belk Department Store where she retired after many years of service. She loved the people that she came into contact with at Belk and the friends she made.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Kelley, one daughter, Deborah Morgan of Brevard, NC, two sons; Scott Kelley and wife Kathy of Brevard, NC, Bruce Kelley and wife Amy of Pisgah Forest, NC, one brother; Asa Moon of Atlanta, Ga., one sister; Sara Drake and husband Kenneth of Royston, Ga., six grandchildren; Jason Owen, Chris Morgan, Breanne, David, Katie and Matthew Kelley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February, 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Brevard with Rev. Danny Hedgepeth and Rev. Allen Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gillespie-Evergreen cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Transylvania Regional Hospital, Home Care, 1266 Asheville Highway, # 5, Brevard, NC 28712.
