John M. Hauserman

Lake Toxaway - John M. Hauserman, 96, died Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. Born on April 9, 1914 in Cleveland Ohio, he was one of nine children of the late Earl F. and Mary Martin Hauserman.

He graduated from Case Western Reserve University. He joined his father's firm, E.F. Hauserman Company which pioneered the manufacturing of movable interior walls for office furnishings. He was involved in that business until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Norma Bloom Hauserman.

Surviving is his loving wife of 18 years Merita Boozer Hauserman; two daughters, Diane and Annette; four sons, John, Randy, Sandy, and Rick; two brothers, Dan and Bill; two step children, Tim and Malia; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Lake Toxaway United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marcus Dodson officiating.
