John Krogstad

Brevard - John Krogstad, 88, died on September 14, 2010.

He was born in 1922 in Storen, Norway. After college in Norway, he came to the United States under the sponsorship of the American Scandinavian Foundation. During his sponsorship, he attended and graduated from New York University. In his retirement, he volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem for the Children's Center of Transylvania County.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Anne Krogstad; his daughters, Christine and Elise; his four grandchildren, and his family and friends in Norway.

Memorial services will be held in Brevard at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 2pm on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
