John Passmore

John Marion Passmore passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was a son of the late Homer and Ethel Wilson Passmore. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances, and a brother, Leon Passmore.

He was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church.

He graduated from Glenville High School and worked at Dupont for 27 years. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force and was stationed in Yuma, AZ. John was an avid golfer and a fan of NASCAR.

He is survived by a brother; Arnold Passmore and wife Karene of Hendersonville, NC, two sister-in-laws; Gay Passmore of Vero Beach, FL and Eloise Hunter of Brevard, NC, one brother-in-law; Thomas Hunter and wife Ophelia, of Cashiers, NC, three nieces and one nephew.
Private services will be held at a later date.
