Joseph Thomas DeLage, 96, of Sapphire, passed into God's loving care on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Joe was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Henry and Rose Blanche DeLage. He grew up in Dearborn, Michigan where he was an active member and leader of the Boy Scouts of America, Troup D.
During WWII, Joe joined the Ar my Air Corps and saw 3 ½ years of service in North Africa, Sicily, France, England and D-Day. After the war he became a teacher and head of the Industrial Arts Department at Fordson High School in Dearborn.
