Judith Barron

Judith Gail Barron went to the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022.  She was born on June 1, 1942, in Wayne County, Michigan.  Judy received her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree from the University of Michigan.  Judy was employed by Wyoming Public Schools in Michigan for 33 years, where she taught third grade, was a reading consultant and ended her career as an elementary principal. She retired to Brevard, NC in 1997 and lived for 15 years in Connestee Falls before moving to her current home in Straus Park.

Judy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she belonged to the Ladies Guild, served as a Eucharistic Minister, brought Communion to the homebound, served on the Thinking of You committee, worked on linens, and helped with Christmas decorations for many years.

Judy also volunteered at Sharing House and served on the Sharing House Board.

She enjoyed gardening, hiking, reading and her daily prayers.  Judy will be remembered for her warm smile, her outgoing personality, her caring for others and her love for family, friends, and the Lord.

She will be greatly missed by her good friend, Barbara Smith, her sister Debbie Cremeens and husband Kevin, nieces and nephews, Matt & Laurie Spicer, Julie & Steve Schneider, Bryan & Amanda Cremeens, Kristen & Matt Medonis, grandnieces and grandnephews, Erica, David, Matt, Jack, Sam, Easton, Torrey, Margo, adopted nieces and nephews, David & Lori Heavener, Matt & Amy Smith, Katie Smith, grandnieces, Haley Smith, Gabrielle Smith and great-grandniece and grandnephews, Addy, Sebastian, and Ronin.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O’Neal officiating on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
