Pisgah Forest - Junior Hensley, 86, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Milt and Lydia Duncan Hensley and was the husband of the late Willa Mae Cody Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Loy, Grasion, Warren, D.L., and Edgel, and his sisters, Faye, Elva , Katherine, and Bonita.
Mr. Hensley was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WW II, and he was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Gerald Hensley and wife Betty of Brevard; Cindy Hensley George and husband James of Taylorsville, NC, and Susan Hensley Hannah and husband Randy of Kernersville, NC;
great-grandchildren, Megan George, Tanner George, Jace Hannah and Ethan Hannah; sisters, Irma Barnette of Pisgah Forest and Betty Jean Brown of Brevard.
Services will be private.
