Kenneth Brissey

Brevard, North Carolina

Kenneth Truman Brissey, 75, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Charles F. George V.A. Medical Center in Asheville. A native of Pickens, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Truman David and Georgia Susan Marcus Brissey.
A Veteran having served in the United States Navy, he was retired from Ecusta where he worked as a laser operator. A member of Little Cove Baptist Church, he was an easy going man with a good sense of humor, he enjoyed being active whether roller skating, shooting pool, pitching horseshoes or bowling as a member of Ecusta's bowling league team. Most importantly he was a loving husband and good father and friend always eager to help those he loved.
His survivors include his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Brissey; daughters Christy Michelle Brissey of Brevard and Teresa Ann Juarez (Jesus), of Rosman; sons Randall Brooks of Urena, LA, Terry William Brooks of West Virginia, Johnny Carnell Brooks (Cindy) of West Palm Beach, FL, and David E. Nichols (Elizabeth) of Trion, GA; brother Tommy Joe Brissey (Penny) of Spartanburg, SC and sister Eula Mae Holden (Jerry) of Pisgah Forest; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services for Mr. Brissey will be at 2:15 on Saturday, August11, 2018 at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations, prior to the service.Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
