Kenneth Joseph Greenwood



Pisgah Forest- -Kenneth Joseph Greenwood, 87, died Friday, February 29, 2009 at his residence.



He was a son of the late John and Minnie Folchert Greenwood and was the husband of the late Vivian Greenwood for 55 years before her death in 2000. He was also preceded in death be three sisters, Evelyn, Mildred and Virginia and two brothers, Milton and Larry. He served in the US Marine Corp. as a Staff Sergeant during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #88 and BPOE.



Survivors include his daughter, Paula Hall of Pisgah Forest, two sons, Terry Lee Greenwood and wife Nancy of Houston, TX. And Kenneth K. Greenwood and wife Gina of Johnson City, TN., one brother, Marvin Greenwood and wife Frances of Wellfleet, Neb. and a sister-in-law Dixie Greenwood of North Platte, Neb.; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, in the Chapel at Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at a later date in Florida.
