Kevin A Bailey, 48, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his residence with his mother by his side. Kevin fought a long hard battle with cancer. Born in Athens, Georgia, he was the son of Phyllis Jane Snyder and the late Harry R. Bailey, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adolph and Jane Snyder and an Uncle, Robert A. Snyder. His dog, Ollie also preceded him in death.
Everyone loved Kevin. He was always smiling and had a good, kind and loving soul. He was always optimistic with a wonderful disposition. Kevin made everyone feel better about life. He lived every day to its fullest and was a loving son, the best son ever, even after his health rapidly declined. He worried about his Mother, even through his battle.
Because of his love for computers since the 1970’s, he became a computer programmer and web designer. Through his work he was able to meet people and make friends all around the world. Kevin also loved video games. Whidbey Island, Washington, was his favorite place where he loved the weather, scenery and everything about his special place. He moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia before moving to Brevard in 2004. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas, Cowboys.
His family will receive friends at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 6PM until 8PM.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister, Kimberly Bailey of Hendersonville and numerous cousins.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the Cancer Center in Brevard and to Nawal and Maya for their loving and compassionate care of Kevin.
Memorials may be made to Transylvania County Cancer Center, 98 Hospital Drive, Brevard, NC 28712 or to Transylvania County Animal Shelter, 1124, Rosman Hwy, Brevard, NC 28712
