Kyla Parker

Kyla Ashley Parker, 8 years old, of Brevard, peacefully entered the healing arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.



Kyla was born on September 16, 2000 in Brevard. She was a third grade student at Rosman Elementary with an infectious smile and a huge heart for others. Despite her disease, she was full of energy and enjoyed playing basketball, softball and soccer. She was part of the Brevard Community Church family and will be greatly missed.



She is survived by her parents, Jeffery and Theresa Parker, a sister, Haley Parker, grandparents, Glennon and Selma Parker of Brevard, Troy and Pat Mathis of Pisgah Forest, two great-grandmothers, Queenie Parker of Tuckaseegee and Ruth Barton of Brevard, aunts and uncles, Dwight and Rae Parker of Brevard, Barry and Missy Stillwell of Hendersonville, Jim and Tina Hawk of Brevard, and four cousins, Seth Parker, Mikayla Parker, Korinne Hawk, and Luke Hawk.



A Celebration of Kyla's life will be held at Brevard Community Church on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm prior to the service.
