Lance Larson

Lance Leigh Larson, 77, of Penrose, passed away on August 3, 2022.  A native of Mount Vernon, Washington, he was the son of the late Elof and Rena Mulder Larson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Herman, Lyle and Nels and sister Letha.

An electrician by trade, he loved the Cascade Mountains of his native Washington State and later fell in love with the mountains of Western North Carolina. He loved a beautiful sunset, be it over the Pacific Ocean or over the Blue Ridge Mountains. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening, Blue Grass music and was a student of history and geology, but his greatest joy was his family and enjoying the time he shared with them.

His loving survivors include his wife of 17 years, Kristin; children: Erin (Jason), Caitlin, Kristen, David, and Julie (Mark); grandchildren: Zachary, Nathan, Mateo, Lorenzo, Chloe, Kayla, Britney, Kathryn, Laura; his sister Karen and his brother Eric (Donna).
