Laura Johnson

Laura Lee Stickley Johnson of Lynchburg, Virginia, formerly of Brevard, passed away on July 16, 2014. Mrs. Johnson was married to Allen Easley Johnson, her husband of 50 years, who died in 2001. Allen Johnson was the son of Nancy and Bill Wallis of Mill Cove in Brevard, and the twin brother of the late Reverend Robert "Robin" Elliot Johnson of Gastonia, North Carolina and Dr. Carol "Tad" Johnson who currently lives in Boston, Mass. Mrs. Johnson's parents were Robert Palmer Stickley and Alpha Lee Crump Stickley, and her brother was the late Robert Palmer Stickley, Jr, all from Lynchburg, Virginia.

. Laura Lee Johnson is survived by her daughter Laura Lee J. Schultz and her husband Daniel C. Schultz and her son Allen Easley Johnson, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Ann Johnson. Her grandchildren are Katherine Lee Schultz, Elizabeth Schultz Flick, Elizabeth Carone Johnson and Allen Easley Johnson III and great-grand children are Anne Laura Flick and Edward Elliot Flick.

A burial service for Laura Lee Stickley Johnson will take place at St. Paul's-In-The-Valley Cemetery on March 6th at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Rob Field from St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Brevard will perform the graveside service. Following the service, the family welcomes family and friends for a reception at the family home of Bill and Nancy Wallis in Mill Cove, 97 Mill Cove Road.
