Leon Wall

Leon Fisher Wall, 81, of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A native of High Point, NC, he was the son of the late Cicero and Mary Ellen White Wall. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Luzene Denning and his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria Smith Wall.
Leon was a United States Air Force Veteran, and a proud American. He was a hard worker who demonstrated his love for his friends and family whom he loved dearly. He was a tremendous father, father-in-law, and "Papa". He enjoyed traveling, particularly to the beach where he loved to fish, although he never caught anything. He loved his church family and loved to sing, and did so often at every opportunity. He also loved sports, particularly college basketball.
His survivors include his children: Stephen A. Wall (Dinah) of Somerset, KY, Mark A. Wall (Paulette) of Pisgah Forest, NC, and Elizabeth Wall-Wright (Robert) of Sarasota, FL; his granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth Wright of Sarasota, Sister Martha Pegram of High Point, NC; and his extended family, Don (Pam) Fabans, Kayse Fabans and Brandon Fabans.
Funeral Services for Leon Wall will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Brevard with Rev. Jeff Maynard officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Military Rites provided by the United States Air Force and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
