Leona Fowler Holland, 97, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. A native of Jackson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Nelson and Otelia Belle Monteith Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clyde John Holland; her brothers Edward Fowler and Conrad Fowler and her sisters Irona Madden and Louise Littleton; granddaughter Ashley Holland and great-granddaughter Abbylea Masters.
A faithful member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, she loved crafts, particular crocheting, and her flower and vegetable gardens. But her greatest joy and enjoyment came from her large and growing family.
Her loving survivors include her children: Jean Rice (Paul), Hilda Edwards (Paul), Conrad “Bud” Holland (Nikki), Steve Holland, Marvin Holland (Kathy) and Harold Holland (Sandra); 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services for Leona Holland will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Tommy Madden and Jeff Shuford officiating.
