Lilli Reidinger

Lilli Vogel Reidinger,93, passed away on 14 January 2022 in Asheville, NC. She was a daughter of the late Emil and Emilie Steinke Vogel.

A native of Lodz, Poland, she immigrated to this country in 1950 with her parents and siblings.  They settled in St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended Washington University.  She married Friedrich ("Fritz") Reidinger, an immigrant from Austria, who was also taking classes at Washington University as part of an exchange program.  In addition to living in St. Louis, Lilli lived in New Haven, CT, Joliet, IL and Brevard, NC, where Fritz worked as a research chemist for Olin Corp.  She considered Brevard to be her home, having lived there a total of 44 years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Fritz Reidinger, and her siblings Edith Vogel, Leo Vogel and Lucie Willsie, as well as some close nieces and a nephew.  She is survived by her sons Fred Reidinger (Gail) of Brevard and Martin Reidinger (Patti) of Asheville, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lilli spent her last four years at Arbor Terrace Assisted Living which she found to be a comfortable and pleasant place.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022, in the Chapel of  Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
