Lillian Cabe Morris, 88, of Brevard, passed away on March 26, 2015. A native of Sylva, NC., she was the daughter of the late Otis and Victoria Hall Cabe. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Morris; brothers Winston Cabe, Carlin Cabe, Daughtry Cabe and Marvin Cabe; her sister Helen Gaither and her son Gary Joseph Morris.
Lillian graduated from Webster High School in Sylva, NC and went on to cosmetology school in Asheville. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard. There she took great pleasure in being a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Ladies Guild. Her passion in life was serving the Lord and loving her family. She was an amazing woman who spoke through her actions, working hard and never complaining. She had a generous heart and was always giving to others.
Her loving survivors include her brother, Dempsey Cabe of Michigan; daughters Vicki Woodley of Lake Junaluska, NC., Donna Waren and husband Eddie of Fayetteville, NC., Linda Weaver and husband Tom of Brevard, Sheila VanHill and husband Jeff of Michigan; sons Mike Morris and wife Gail of Brevard and Terry Morris and wife Sonya of Brevard; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Lillian Cabe Morris will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
