Linda Carland

Linda L. Jamerson Wilgen Jennings Carland, 61, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Charles George Veteran's Hospital in Asheville after a lengthy battle with cancer. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late William Stanley and Anna Mae Fisher Jamerson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Bill Jennings.

A graduate of Brevard High School and Brevard College, Linda was a U.S. Army veteran. She was a loving mother of her three daughters. She was a member of the local American Legion and VFW chapters and will greatly missed by her friends and family.
Her loving survivors include her daughters, Dawn Murr and husband Ray of Brevard, Brandy McElroy and husband Jimmy of Cashiers, and Spring Wilgen and fiancé John Owen of Brevard; her grandchildren: Monika Holden and husband David, Christen Murr, Jacob Murr and wife Jena, Veronica Carson, Jesse Via and Montana McElroy; brothers: Steve Jamerson of Brevard, Wayne Jamerson and wife Patsy of Brevard and Robert Jamerson and wife Debbie of Brevard; sister: Billie Nicholson and husband Doug of Brevard, Rita Long of Brevard, and Ella Jacobs of Seattle, WA.; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Linda Carland will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with Rev. Alan Perry and Rev. Ray Murr officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation for the extraordinary care and comfort extended by the Hospice Center at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville and also Four Seasons Hospice of Flat Rock and Transylvania Hospice in Brevard.
