Linda Vogel Shepherd

Linda Louise Vogel Shepherd, 79, of Pisgah Forest, NC, was born March 5, 1944, to the late Louie and Rose Scheiding Vogel, passed away July 31, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Geoffrey Edward Shepherd who died January 17, 2023.

Linda was raised and went to high school in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Before moving to Brevard to attend Brevard College where she completed her bachelor’s degree. She retired from Transylvania Regional Hospital after many years working in the business office.

She loved to sew and enjoyed knitting needlepoint.  She traveled the world with her husband, Geoffrey. Most of all, spending time with her family was her passion.

Services will be private.

Linda is survived by two sons; Frankie (Crystal) Pogue of Pisgah Forest, NC and Chris Pogue of Pisgah Forest, NC, a sister; Jane Warren of New Jersey, two grandchildren; Hunter and Ashton Pogue both of Pisgah Forest, NC and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
