Lorraine Marsik

Lorraine Ruth Marsik, 84, of Brevard, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 19, 2015 after a battle with cancer. A native of Forest Park, IL, she was the youngest of five children born to the late Walter and Agnes Metz. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers Bob Metz and George Metz.

A member of Joy Outreach Fellowship, she worked part-time for the Pisgah National Forest Ranger Station and Visitor Center. She also enjoyed going to nursing homes to visit people who did not have any family.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Marsik of Brevard; sisters Dorothy Littlefield and Sally Szent of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Joy Outreach Fellowship with Pastor Judy Jennings officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Joy Outreach Fellowship, 3180 Hendersonville Highway, Pisgah Forest, North Carolina 28768.
