Louise Austin

Louise C. Austin, 81, of Etowah, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2018. A native of Henderson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ruby Freeman Coston.

A member of Etowah Baptist Church, she was graduate of Brevard College. She retired from AT&T (formerly Southern Bell) after a thirty-five years of service.

Her survivors include her husband of 28 years, Harold R. Austin; her daughter Cheryl Smith (Bryan) of Hendersonville; grandsons Tucker Smith and Tyler Smith; great-grandchildren Tanner Smith, Woodson Smith and Luke Smith and her sisters Jeannene Leach of Etowah and Margaret Morgan of Lake Lure.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Austin will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Etowah Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
