Majorie Vantrump

Marjorie Nell (Owens) VanTrump, age 97, died at her daughter's home in Brevard, North Carolina on February 1, 2016. She was born December 16, 1918 in Huntsville, Missouri, the daughter of Henry M. Owens and Charleen F. Stafford. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 63 years, William Frederick VanTrump and two great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Hickman High School and Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. She then taught for several years at Morley Stanwood High School in Michigan. She was very involved with her church and the youth ministry in Kerrville, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Lonnie M. VanTrump (Mary) of Crossville, Tennessee and Kenneth L. VanTrump (Leilani) of Marlette, Michigan and daughter Sue Clark (Michael) of Brevard, North Carolina, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several niece and nephews.

No local services are planned.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly, Missouri.
