Margaret Louise Davis Collins



Brevard - Margaret Louise Davis Collins, 84, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Vessie Parris Davis and was the wife of the late Emmeless Collins, Sr. who died in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Gracie Davis, her brothers, Lee Davis, Luther Davis and Charlie Davis, a daughter, Florence Hattie Mae Collins, and a grandson, James Porter Harris, Jr.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are her children, Louise Volrath of Brevard, Vera Harris and husband Porter of Brevard, Junior Collins and wife Sallie of Brevard, Jimmy Collins of Brevard, Charles Collins and Shirley Cooper both of Hendersonville, Barbara Harris and Brenda Collins both of Brevard; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday in the Moore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
