Margaret Barrett Mangrum, 84, formerly of Rosman, died August 23, 2013.

She was born in Transylvania County on January 17, 1929, to the late Oscar and Annie Cornelia Barrett. Her husband, Herbert Mangrum, two brothers and sister, Marin Barrett, Virgil Barrett, and Hazel Gaston preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother-in-law; Paul Gaston, her son; Edward Long, daughter-in-law Joyce Long, her daughter; Laura Elam, and son-in-law; Bubba Elam, and granddaughter; Dana Long

She had resided the last several years at "The Oaks". The family of Margaret Mangrum wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of The Oaks for their care.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2012at the Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be private.
