Margot Williston

Margot Benton Summers Williston, 78, of Pisgah Forest, NC, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Philip Maxwell Benton and Virginia Clair Simpson Benton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Kenneth L. Williston.

Margot received a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland. She worked at the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC and The Adams Group in Rockville, Maryland.  After moving to Pisgah Forest, NC, she worked at Brevard College, Young Creative Associates, and Downtown Hendersonville, Inc.

Margot studied and played the piano for many years, enjoyed tennis, bowling, skiing, and was quite the shag dancer.

She is survived by a daughter; Virginia Carter (David) of Brevard NC, two sons; Murray Summers, Jr and Kendrick Summers (Bonnie) of Virginia Beach, VA, one brother; Philip C Benton, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Margot will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Davidson River Presbyterian Church with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.

Margot, you are loved and will be missed dearly.
